More Conversational Beasts

Inspired by the great Italy-bound Abby Mumford and a recent fan-girl encounter by yours truly, I present to you two dear friends of Blank:

And...

These guys are my constant conversational companions.

One more day to enter the contest and win your very own Blank! Go one post down and enter there. Down...down...almost there...right THERE. Oh fine, here's a link.

I think I have brought both of those along for several conversations. I can think of at least one person with whom I've been taken over by both...in the same conversation!

There's a number of reasons I don't hang out with the Ramble. Most of them are in his mouth.

I laughed out loud at the Awkward Pause though. That guy's hilarious.

Christine, I totally understand. These guys usually come as a team for me.
And thanks, Adam! Ramble's teeth are one thing, but his claws are the ones that dig in and HANG ON...because when I start to ramble, it just won't stop.
END RAMBLE! STOP BEFORE HE GETS HIS CLAWS IN!

Ramble is adorable. I want to take him home. And keep him in my closet. And feed him a pure diet of antedotes and what-ifs. And show him off to everyone who comes over so that they will run out of the house screaming for silence and I will laugh like a maniac as they go. and --I'm not rambling am I?

Taryn, oh no, not at all! This is a fabulous idea. Ramble is incredibly fond of what-ifs and even useless trivia, including but not limited to "Butterflies taste with their toes" and "What if we had noses on the top of our heads?" and and and and and and and and and...

There seems to be an awkward pause in you blog posting. hmmmmm

these drawings are so amazing! even if Ramble is slightly scary, but i suppose that's the nature of him. it's scary when you can't stop or you're stuck in a convo where you can't leave!

it does help, though, to have mental images now for Blank, Ramble, and Pause. it justifies experiencing them because they are LIVING, BREATHING CREATURES.

These pictures are perfect illustrations of the words they describe. I love them.
