Ooohh that's so awesome! I went surfing once too and was SO proud of myself for making it to shore without falling off the board. That is an awesome photo, by the way. Glad you got to fulfill a childhood dream. :)
Aw, you guys are the best...thanks for stopping by and reading! My husband will be so proud to hear that his contribution to the blog has been well-received. :D Surf's up! (Wait, am I advanced enough to say that? Ah well.)
Awesome surfing pic. If I were a true surfer/San Diegan, I could even tell you what beach you were at. But I can't.
I lived in SD for over 10 years, but my wife and I only started surfing at the very end. I only actually tried it twice. I got up the first time and said, "What's the big deal? This is easy!" Then I borrowed my friend's shortboard and...didn't get up so much.
Then I moved to Thailand, where the nearest ocean is 500 miles away, brown, and waveless. Sigh.
Haha! LOVE this. Now that you know how to surf, you'll have to teach me what I'm doing wrong. Hubs and I have a long foam board and a short board, and I can't get up on either! I've tried maybe 5 different times and I'll stand up for maybe a second. I so wish I could say "Yeah, I live in San Diego and I surf. No biggie."

That is awesome on so many levels. And your posing is off the charts! If only those AOL surfing chat room dudes could see you now!
